The flat was evacuated slowly. Among bills, private notes and newspaper pages, into which old cups had once been safely involuted: The beginning, if there ever was one, was found. A train accident on December 24, 1900 and the Czech railroad officer died from it eighteen years later. During these years, however, his wife gave birth to four children.
